Our role was to rig up system on rig site and test communication for WITS stream between site come software and other service providers WITS (MWD, Mud logging, E-Line logging, Cementing)
Making sure after this phase that all seats on head office are able to see the stream coming from the field.
One of our main tasks was to provide support along with Kongsberg team to the RTO discovery wells users
Prepare the required work flows that improve operational efficiency
Setting an environment to visualize and understand relationships between the drilling processes in the earth context
Be head of the event of drilling to forecast drilling problems
a critical well for centurion at that time 2007-2008, from the business point of view, and from the operational technical challenges point of view.
For example we do not have enough data for example we are not sure about pressure profile, no seismic data for wastani formation, we will drill abu madi and KFS in one phase, it is our first time to drill Oligocene, and much many other challenges, so monitoring operation is very critical for us, and we have success as an only option.
The key for success is the communication among team members and between different teams, through which we all can share the information and exchange the knowledge to make a use of the cumulative hundreds years experience that we have here in this room.
The implementation of real time data transfer system will allow all of us to have the full image of what is going on the rig site at the same time, which will allow us to integrate our efforts focused on a clear defined objectives during the course of the project.
